On Husayn(A)’s body, their sword have prayed,
So much so that he became a mehrab (prayer niche) for them.

On Husayn(A)’s body, their sword have prayed,
So much so that he became a mehrab (prayer niche) for them.

Ya Husayn(A)

He asks: “Am I not the son of the daughter of your Prophet(S)?”
“And a shelter for you in difficult times?”
“Have I brought an innovation (or false belief) into the religion of the Prophet(S)?”
“Or was I a disbeliever and did not adhere to it’s teachings (rulings)”?

On Husayn(A)’s body, their sword have prayed,
So much so that he became a mehrab (prayer niche) for them.

Ya Husayn(A)

“Or did the Prophet(S) not ask you to be good to us?”
“Since he had left you the two thaqalayn (weighty things) of the Family(A) and the Quran”
But they became misguided, and couldn’t see his wisdom.
Except through the spears and arrows they gave as their reply!

On Husayn(A)’s body, their sword have prayed,
So much so that he became a mehrab (prayer niche) for them.

Ya Husayn(A)

And then he left, and no shelter did he find,
Except the spears, and no water except the sand,
Such an overpowering thirst, that his heart had melted,
With a heat that could melt the toughest of stones by a mere touch!

On Husayn(A)’s body, their sword have prayed,
So much so that he became a mehrab (prayer niche) for them.

Ya Husayn(A)

Alas, for your body, left torn and abandoned upon the ground,
Clothed only in your pure blood.
The forehead and eyes of each believer (monotheist),
Wish to be the sand for your body!

On Husayn(A)’s body, their sword have prayed,
So much so that he became a mehrab (prayer niche) for them.

Ya Husayn(A)

Woe, for your head, atop the spear,
Adorning it with sacred lights,
While on the top of spears, your head was reciting …
As if it was the Holy Quran!

On Husayn(A)’s body, their sword have prayed,
So much so that he became a mehrab (prayer niche) for them.

Ya Husayn(A)

So let the Book of Allah, mourn for it’s suffering,
And let Islam rise up in revolt,
Let the religion of Muhammad(S) cry out from amidst the Ummah,
Turning the heads into tails (meaning: overthrowing the corrupt order)

Ya Husayn(A)

On Husayn(A)’s body, their sword have prayed,

On Husayn(A)’s body, their sword have prayed,
So much so that he became a mehrab (prayer niche) for them.

On Husayn(A)’s body, their sword have prayed,
So much so that he became a mehrab (prayer niche) for them.
