Updated editorial and image on Islamic Digest
Karbala.com has also got a variation on this image, have a look and give me your thoughts:
Again, the artwork is by our beloved Hedzz, who’s been really upping the standard when it comes to the artwork for Islamic Digest and it’s related sites. Before I forget, it should be pointed out the Noor Islam - our Swedish sister site - is also going to be using the same artwork (but with the text in Swedish).
As the site is updated, I will add a snapshot image here for the sake of completeness.
For those of you who are interested, Hedzz, has got high resolution wallpaper type images for the artwork that’s been done for Islamic Digest.
For this editorial image in glorious high resolution, please point your browsers over to Hedzz’s deviantART gallery, and grab it. The direct link can be found here.
That’s all for now, once I know exactly when Eid is - however, it does seem that there might be at least 2 Eid’s this year, from what I can gather, our brothers and sisters of the Sunnah have declared Eid on Friday October 12, 2007.
I’ve heard rumors that those who were following Ayatullah al-Udhma Sayyed Abul Qasim al-Khui(A) or Imam Khumayni(A) and those following Imam Khamenei(HA) are going to be doing Eid on Saturday, October 13, 2007. Finally, those following Ayatullah al-Udhma Sistani(HA), as well as those who follow the Council of European Jamaat’s Moon Sighting Committee (Hilal Advisory Team) will be having Eid on Sunday. As more information is made available, I shall too make it available here, insha Allah.
Warm Regards,
Shabbir
