It’s been a while since I last posted (well actually my last post was pretty my resume only, nothing of much substance, in fact, to be honest, I’ve not really posted in anger, since I talked about Servage and my Open Source HOWTO Site - www.oss4eva.com , and how awesome Servage’s hosting packages are - see my shameless plug for Servage (remember it only costs £4.50 PER MONTH for 510 GIGABYTES OF STORAGE and 5010 GIGABYTES OF MONTHLY DATA TRANSFER:

Sharikatul Husayn(A) Workshop

So what have I been doing?  Well I’ve been teaching at the Sharikatul Husayn(A) Saturday Workshop - shout out to my students in Class 8.  I take them for Quranic Studies, Fiqh (Islamic Practical Rulings for Day to Day life), Akhlaq (Islamic Ethics) and Tareekh (Islamic History).  Within the classes, we also cover subjects such as Aqaed (Principles of Belief), Tazkiyyat an-Nafs (Purification of the Soul) and very basic Arabic.

Doxmart (New Job)

I’ve also just started work with a new company.  Who are they?  Well, personally I think they’ll go very far, the concept is excellent and extremely extensible.

This company has massive potential from what I can see, it seems to be have hit a niche that is pretty much untapped, and the model is awesome.  I would sincerely encourage as many of you to register over there - especially if you have some intellectual property (YOUR OWN intellectual property!!) and you want to make some money from it, rather than it sitting around gathering dust, then hop on over to Doxmart, register and as soon as the site is ready, you can start trading and selling your intellectual property.

There is much more I could write, but for now this is enough, and there is plenty on the web site, make sure you take some time to watch the video on the home page and familiarize yourselves with what Doxmart can do you for.

No, I’m not getting paid anything extra for this blog entry!! I genuinely believe that the service the site is going to offer is very cool, and much needed.

Trading in God / The Evils of Hypocrisy

Anyway’s, that’s all for now, I’ll probably be posting something over the weekend not entirely sure, perhaps, because I do have a bone to pick as well  - not with Doxmart or with the Sharikatul Husayn(A) Saturday Workshop, but with another group that in the last couple of months I’ve had some very interesting interactions with.

I won’t say much at this time, if I start I won’t be able to stop until I’ve said all that is needed to be said, suffice it to say that I have always believed and will always believe that you cannot buy or sell God - whatever you might call "God", but you cannot in all fairness, buy or sell God.  You cannot manipulate the people based on God, nor can you manipulate elements of society that are innocent and unable to defend themselves or oppose said manipulation - or indeed question it - instead you must call towards the path of God through ones actions, and words - and one must ensure that both actions and words are intertwined into a single constant action, where there is no contradiction between ones actions and ones words, and everything is entirely in sync.

Those who speak about God, who teach people should always work towards the betterment of society - as opposed to the stagnation of society, those who speak about God, who claim to lead others towards God and who guide the masses, should always and without any excuse be exemplary and should act on that which they preach, for indeed there is nothing worse than that teacher who doesn’t act on that which he teaches.

Indeed, one who says one thing, and does the opposite, is generally referred to as a hypocrite.  See the dictionary.com definition here, Wikipedia is here and off course the Quran, which has an entire Chapter devoted to explaining who the Hypocrites can be seen in the video below (complete with English translation):

Anyway’s, I don’t want to discuss this in more detail at this point, perhaps if warranted, I will discuss this in more depth at some stage in the future, only Allah knows best.

karbala.com Updates

Finally, on karbala.com, we have now created a number of Country based sites; and on the English site, we’ve uploaded the Maqtal of Abu Mikhnaf(A).  This is a detailed account of the events of Karbala, and the Martyrdom of Imam Husayn(A) and his companions, and the torture and imprisonment of the women of the household of the Prophet Muhammad(S).  There are other books, and other accounts and we’re working to have these up and ready as soon as is possible.

Arbaeen of Imam Husayn(A)

Thursday the 28th of February 2008, was the Arbaeen of Imam Husayn(A) - that is 40 days after the massacre of Karbala, on this occasion I’d like to send my condolences to all the worlds Muslims, to the oppressed and the lovers of Truth and Freedom the world over, and we pray to Allah for the swift return of our Awaited Saviour, al-Hujjat ibn al-Hasan(A), who will fill the Earth with justice and equality, as it is filled with injustice and tyranny.
