On Sunday 12th February 2012, the AhlulBayt Islamic Mission (AIM) in conjunction with the Islamic Centre of England organised an international conference during Islamic Unity Week on the theme of the Global Islamic Awakening, a topic of paramount connotation given the contemporary political changes in our world. This conference was proudly presented with a wide array of thinkers, analysts, journalists and activists who delivered lectures and expressed their opinions on the Global Islamic Awakening that has engulfed the Middle East and beyond. The speakers at this conference included Sheikh Moezi, Lauren Booth, Sheikh Noor Al-Aqtab Siddiqui, Dr Kamal El-Helbawy, George Galloway, Sheikh Bahmanour, Ammar Waqaf, Dr. Rashid bin Issa, Mohammed Sadiq Shamran, and Roshan Muhammad Salih.
